Following the preparation of partner-level baseline situation papers, the main insights and conclusions are synthesized in this comprehensive partnership-level Baseline Study, highlighting the main issues and challenges related to sustainable mobility and public spaces, also illustrated by a good practice catalogue.
Added value of the document
The Baseline Study with a Good Practice Catalogue is mainly designed to support the pilot actions of the cities within the project partnership. Nevertheless, the presented information in the Baseline study in a user-friendly format, the identified challenges and the recommendations can be of valuable resource of information to other cities trying to tackle similar challenges in the area of tactical urbanism. Additionally, the Good Practice Catalogue is valuable resource for stakeholders seeking to adopt or replicate similar ideas. n
Transferability potential
The aim of the Baseline Study with a Good Practice Catalogue is on one hand to present the challenges identified by pilot cities with concluding thoughts and recommendations to tackle the met challenges and on the other hand to present 21 good practices from European and other countries. The collection of the practices is in different categories within the field of tactical urbanism. They can serve as an idea book for the pilot cities as well as examples to learn from. The document is a component of the Tactical Urbanism Methodology also proposed by the project.
