Urban areas face increasing water-related climate challenges (flooding, drought, heat islands). NbS are promising but often poorly understood by local actors. This document addresses the lack of accessible, user-friendly material by translating technical NbS concepts into attractive infographics for non-experts.
It adds value by introducing an innovative communication angle that classifies NbS as water snob or water smart and presents them through visually engaging infographics. This makes the solutions more memorable and easier to disseminate compared to traditional technical catalogues, thus broadening their reach among non-experts.
The transferability potential is very high. The infographics can be widely used across the MED region by municipalities, schools, NGOs, and practitioners for awareness raising, training, and policy communication. They require no technical adaptation and can be easily translated and reproduced. However, the deliverable presents solutions in a visual and accessible way but does not provide guidance or methodology on where and how to implement them, which may need to be complemented by other outputs of the porject for an effective transfer.
