Urban areas in the Mediterranean face increasing climate risks (floods, drought, heat islands) and need practical solutions to adapt. Yet, existing information on NbS is often too technical and fragmented. This catalogue addresses this gap by providing a clear, accessible overview of NbS and their links to water management
The catalogue stands out by classifying NbS as water snob or water smart, thus emphasizing water efficiency. Each NbS is presented in a concise, two-page format with visuals, benefits/drawbacks, cost and social acceptability, making it more user-friendly than traditional technical catalogues. It also provides references for further technical detail.
The catalogue offers a valuable overview of NbS and their potential benefits, providing clear and accessible information for awareness raising and initial exploration. However, it does not include a methodology to help users select the most appropriate solutions for their specific context or to guide implementation.
